The use of CAFE software in ship design will be one of the topics at this year`s International Conference on Computer Applications in Shipbuilding (ICCAS)  that will take place in, Busan, South Korea from 24th to  26th of  September 2013. 


The paper „Rapid development of Ro-Pax concept by introducing an early stage FE analysis in CAFE innovative ship design environment“, created by Vassilios  Zagkas (Naval Architecture Progress), Alan Klanac and Darko Frank (as2con-alveus) as well as Svemir Bralić (Brze Vise Bolje) was accepted as one of the 80  papers to   be presented to experts in the field and potential future CAFE users.


The 16th ICCAS will review operational experience from existing computer applications in the design and build of ships and offshore structures and will cover a full range of topics including; CAD, CAM, integrated systems, knowledge management, simulation and virtual reality applications, etc. It will also examine the advances in Information Technology which have contributed to increased productivity in both shipbuilding and maritime operations.
